This preparation provides graduates with the skills needed for successful practice in the period following graduation. In addition to general and technical education, the educational program stresses professional and ethical responsibilities, an awareness of societal issues, and the need for life-long learning.

Fundamentals in project management, project cost accounting & engineering economics, scheduling, law, and commuications — all part of the Minor in Project Management — are essential to begin undergraduates' careers at a more advanced level. Therefore, The undergraduate program allows students to take individual courses as electives or as part of a minor in project management. These courses are avialbe only to students registered in the A. JAmes Clark School of Engineering or the School of Architecture, Planning, & Presevation.
